At the early onset of the CoronaVirus, or COVID-19, Bear River Health was quick to react and put in place several standards that are now protocol in order to keep both clients and staff safe. Executive Director Daniel Hartman performed an assessment of staff and clients to determine who may be considered high risk. A majority of staff were directed to work from home, if feasible, and some were put on reserve.

Health and Wellness Exam

The Health and Wellness Exam occurs each day, requiring both staff (working from home and on the front lines) and clients to fill out an assessment analyzing the individuals health. If a physical exam is deemed necessary after completion, the individual is assessed by a medical provider via phone or video conference. From that point, it may be required to have an in-person examination. After examination, if all symptoms point to the virus, the individual will be referred to take a COVID-19 test.
